Looking up to his cinematographer Dad, Lars caught the film bug early. As a small boy he was captivated by the delicate alchemy of light and lens, he also knew from a young age that a career in a cubicle would elude him. So he spent 15 years learning the ropes the hard way. Instead of film school, he was schooled on set, meaning there isn't much he hasn't seen a way around. Coming from a family of film fanatics, Lars possesses an enviable fluency in all formats so nothing gets in the way of his ability to tell a story. Whether it is a 90 minute narrative or a 30 second sales pitch he brings a unique perspective to everything he shoots. Which is probably the reason his impressive list of operating credentials includes Avengers age of Ultron, Chappie, Black Sails and Resident Evil and is still growing. Much like he did. At (6ft 4) he grew to be not only one of the tallest DOP's, but is also one of the most sought after.
