The work of Sophie Roger remains anchored to her most familiar territory, a corner of the Pays de Caux, to the north of her native Havre, where she lives and works in the field, not far from the cliff. From this intimate territory, her work continues to question the other side, her relationship with others, whoever they may be: friends, neighbours, people far away, people from the past, fictional characters, etc. Her latest films A SOUND ON THIS LAST IMAGE (2021) and LOVE ON THE BRAMBLE PATH (2025) were selected at FID Marseille.
