Camille Simon Baudry is a filmmaker, artist and researcher born in the Mauges region of France in 1998. Over the past few years, she has been developing an open cinema project, driven by decompartmentalizing representations that challenge the usual ways of thinking, designating and representing the “I”, the “other” and the “environment” in the West. Her itinerary and quest for new or renewed ecological visions thus found a new web of relationships, based on recognition of marginal and silenced lives, and connection with feelings (human and earthly) that are commonly neglected.Member of Union Quoi? International·e collective and of Collectif Jeune Cinéma, rédactrice occasional writer for Débordements revue and Paradoscope’s creator. 2024 resident of Villa Dufraine (Académie des Beaux-Arts, cur. Collectif Nest), partner with AWARE‘s documentation center in 2023-2024 through Union Quoi? International·e collective and 2022 resident of Fabrica Research Centre (Benetton, dir. Carlos Casas). Graduated from ENSAPC (Paris-Cergy Arts School) in 2023. A good part of her works are now part of Collectif Jeune Cinéma’s catalog.
