Michael Dean Parsons is a Primetime Emmy-nominated composer whose work spans major films, television, and contemporary classical music.His recent projects include "Pain Hustlers," directed by David Yates (Harry Potter series), starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans, which he co-composed with nine-time Academy Award nominee James Newton Howard. He also scored the three-part Netflix docuseries "Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn's Treasure," and co-composed "Light & Magic" (Season 2) on Disney+ (dir. Joe Johnston) with Xander Rodzinski. He co-wrote the main title theme for "Bridgerton" with Kris Bowers, earning them a Primetime Emmy Nomination.He contributed additional music to "The Wild Robot" (Academy Award-nominated for score), "The Lost Bus" (dir. Paul Greengrass), "King Richard," "Chevalier," and "Space Jam: A New Legacy." His scores as lead composer include "Only," "How to Be Alone," "Souls of Totality," the Marvel Studios documentary "Stan Lee," and the Lucasfilm documentary "Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return."In television, he has contributed additional music to Marvel's "Secret Invasion," "Queen Charlotte," "Bridgerton," and "Raising Dion." He scored the Disney+ docuseries "Sketchbook," and composed additional music for the Emmy-nominated scores of "Light & Magic" (Season 1) and "Hostile Planet." He also scored the fiction podcast series "Dark Woods" from Wolf Entertainment.A frequent collaborator of James Newton Howard, he served as score producer on "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore," "All the Light We Cannot See," and "Willow."Beyond film and television, Michael's contemporary classical compositions have been performed by the New York Philharmonic, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Virtuoso Singers, at venues including David Geffen Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Alice Tully Hall.Originally from New Jersey, Michael now resides in Santa Monica.
