科季·里扎尔 Khozy Rizal

The filmmaker is based in Makassar, Indonesia. His short film Makassar Is a City for Football Fans was presented at festivals including Sundance. In 2023, Basri & Salma in a Never-Ending Comedy had its world premiere at Cannes and was the first Indonesian film to compete for the Short Film Palme d’Or. It went on to screen at over 100 festivals around the world including Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand and the AFI Fest in Los Angeles. He is an alumnus of the Asian Film Academy and the Locarno Filmmakers Academy.
