弗兰克·施陶法赫尔 Frank Stauffacher (1916年8月13日)

Independent filmmaker who started Art in Cinema, a groundbreaking series of experimental and independent films shown at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art beginning in 1946. His impressionistic documentaries Sausalito (1948) and Notes on the Port of St. Francis (1951) are currently (2005) in the process of being restored from old prints. Brother of famed typeface and graphic designer Jack Stauffacher, founder of Greenwood Press in SF.
