The Japanese anime director joined Studio 4°C in 2001 and made his debut as computer graphics director on the TV series Piroppo. He went on to help shape the visual style of a number of works including Harmony, for which he was co-director. His directorial debut, Poupelle of Chimney Town, drew an audience of more than two million viewers. He followed it with Entotsumachi no Poupelle – Yakusoku no Tokeidai, the next film in the series.
