Emily Helen Mest was born in the small town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She was raised by her parents Carol and Charlie and has one older brother named Elliott. Emily is of Italian and Irish descent. She is best known for her portrayal of Nurse Amelia Emerson in the Ryan Murphy Netflix series Ratched (2020) alongside Sarah Paulson. Emily also appears in the eighth season of Ryan Murphy's FX series American Horror Story: Apocalypse (2018) as Casey.
