华金·德尔·帕索 Joaquin del Paso

Born in 1986, the Mexican filmmaker studied at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión in Cuba and the Polish National Film School in Łódź. His debut feature film Maquinaria Panamericana premiered in the Berlinale Forum in 2016 and won the Mexican Film Award, Ariel, for Best Original Screenplay. His second feature, El hoyo en la cerca, screened at Venice in 2021 and won several prizes at the Cairo International Film Festival. He also produced Robe of Gems by Natalia López Gallardo which was selected for the 2022 Berlinale Competition.
