Raised in Yankton, South Dakota, Nathaniel David Becker was born on September 11, 1986, in North Liberty, Iowa. The middle of three sons, Becker played several sports growing up but developed an interest in film, theater and the arts in his early teens. At the age of fifteen, he had his musical debut in his high school's production of South Pacific.
